This is a FULL TIME vacancy, with shifts based over 5 days, and a wage starting at £14-£15 per hour, depending on experience.


What We Need:

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and that guests receive well-prepared and delicious dishes. You will contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by consistently delivering high-quality culinary experiences.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize all ingredients required for your station, following standardized recipes and techniques to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the preparation process.
  • Cook dishes to order during service, applying your culinary expertise to achieve the desired level and meet our restaurant's quality standards.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to deliver dishes that delight our guests.
  • Pay meticulous attention to plating, ensuring that each dish leaving your station is attractively presented and aligns with our restaurant's plating guidelines.
  • Show artistic flair and creativity in enhancing the visual appeal of dishes.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on dishes to ensure they meet the expected taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
  • Address any discrepancies promptly, maintaining high culinary standards at all times.
  • Efficiently manage your time during busy service periods, coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of dishes to customers.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency without compromising on quality.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, including the head chef, sous chef, and fellow line cooks, to maintain a harmonious and coordinated kitchen environment.
  • Offer support to colleagues when needed and foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere.


Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Culinary degree or relevant formal culinary training is preferred but not mandatory; significant practical experience may suffice.
  • Excellent culinary skills and in-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a busy kitchen environment effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and other team members.
