Deputy General Manager

Low lights. Loud nights. Good drinks. No boring shifts.

We’re looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager to help lead the venue, support the General Manager and keep everything running smoothly, even on the busiest nights.

You’ll be a key part of the management team, helping drive standards, develop your people and deliver great nights for our guests. From leading the team on the floor to keeping a close eye on performance and operations, you’ll take real ownership of the business and make sure everything is running as it should.

Hands-on, full of energy and ready to lead from the front? We want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the General Manager in leading the overall venue operation, driving performance and taking ownership of the business in their absence.
  • Leading from the front during busy services, keeping standards high, motivating the team and delivering great guest experiences.
  • Recruiting, training and developing the team, building a positive culture where people feel supported and motivated to succeed.
  • Keeping on top of sales, labour, stock, ordering and other operational costs to help drive profitability.
  • Ensuring the venue runs safely and smoothly, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, licensing and compliance.
  • Working closely with the wider management team to improve performance, solve problems and keep the venue moving forward.
  • Getting hands-on wherever needed, leading by example and bringing the right energy to every shift.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager or in a similar senior hospitality role, ideally in a busy bar or late-night environment.
  • A confident, hands-on leader who can motivate and develop a team, lead busy services and take ownership of the operation.
  • A good understanding of venue operations, commercial performance and cost control.
  • Someone who stays calm under pressure, makes good decisions and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
  • A natural people person with great communication skills, plenty of energy and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • No ego, a strong work ethic and the flexibility to get stuck in wherever needed.

What’s in It for You?

  • £35,000 - £38,000 salary + service charge and bonus.
  • Earn as you learn – with skill-based pay, your hourly rate can increase as you develop new skills.
  • Up to 50% discount on food and drink across all our awesome venues.
  • Deals and discounts with a wide range of businesses through our discount portal.
  • Early access to your pay through Wagestream.
  • £10,000 life assurance to support your loved ones if the worst happens.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering support with mental health, wellbeing and financial matters.
  • A fun, vibrant working environment with a fantastic team.
  • The opportunity to develop your leadership skills and take the next step in your hospitality career.
