As Area Training Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all our venues uphold the brand standards when it comes to the consistency, delivery and quality of our drinks served. Furthermore, you will be the liquor ambassador, supporting our Bar Teams in delivering amazing experiences and driving sales through facilitating regular training and development sessions.
This is a field based role, with travel to Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester required.

Key Responsibilities
The operation
- Responsibility for implementing and communicating new training.
- Monitor drink consistency and quality control across the group.
Team
- Provide company-wide bar training and ensure all bartenders are trained and adhere to all company policies.
- Establish strong and effective communication across designated area.
- Drive the delivery of exemplary bar service in line with our service operating procedures.
- Embed great induction standards across our bar teams by delivering ‘train the trainer’ to our General Managers/IST to ensure 100% completion of team training requirements.
- Follow up with new starters to review training and onboarding plans, ensuring gaps are covered when required plus suggesting improvements and feeding back.
- Analyse new starter and leaver surveys to identify training-related trends in our team member feedback and work closely with Ops where there are specific areas for improvement or feedback which needs to be addressed. (Health Checks)
- Own bar career development activities to drive an increase to the number of internal promotions into Senior Bartender positions.
- Support keeping key training content up to date and relevant.
- Embed our induction program by developing and successfully launching additional training tools that allow team members to continually build their skill set and progress their career.
Guest-centric
- Support the bar team and work on-site when required.
- Take ownership for keeping Front of House content fresh and up to date and using constant feedback from our teams both qualitative and quantitative to amend and edit content.
- Creating and developing new and extra training assets for the business.
- Sign off on employee progression through observations and assessments.
- Investigate and highlight areas to improve Front of House knowledge and skills whilst providing ad-hoc support and site visits to evaluate the training impact.
- Feedback to Ops, Support Team stakeholders and the wider training team following new training launches to identify skills gaps and opportunities for training improvements
