Overview of the role:

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Nightcap. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our venues and equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Perform inspections to identify issues and potential hazards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to diagnose problems and make repairs.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the properties, including painting, decorating, and fixing fixtures and fittings.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations and promote a culture of safety within the business.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage and usage.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in maintenance techniques and technologies.


Qualifications/ Experience required


  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects.
