Experienced Barista - Brighton i360

As a Barista at Brighton i360, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and crafting high-quality beverages for our guests. You will work across various food and beverage service points, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a welcoming and memorable experience. Your role will be integral in maintaining efficiency, quality, and excellent service, contributing to the overall success of Brighton i360.


Guest Experience & Service

  • Provide a warm welcome and excellent service to all guests, ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.
  • Engage with customers, offering recommendations and information about our coffee and beverage offerings.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to answer any guest queries confidently.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and efficiently.


Beverage Preparation & Quality Control

  • Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
  • Ensure consistent quality in all drinks, following established recipes and brand standards.
  • Operate coffee machines and other beverage equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure ingredients and supplies are fresh and available.


Food & Beverage Operations

  • Assist in the preparation and service of light snacks and baked goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times, ensuring the café and bar areas are well-stocked and presentable.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and company procedures regarding the sale of alcohol (if applicable).


Sales & Cash Handling

  • Upsell a range of beverages and food items to achieve sales targets.
  • Operate the EPOS system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
  • Assist in stock control and inventory management.


Operational Duties & Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to all Brighton i360 policies and procedures, ensuring safety and security measures are strictly followed.
  • Support team members across various operational roles as required.
  • Undertake any additional duties that fall within the scope of the role.


Experience Required

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Passion for coffee and delivering exceptional service.
  • Warm, approachable personality with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong selling skills, able to upsell effectively.
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using EPOS systems and coffee equipment.
