General Manager – The Side Hustle

A sports bar with a difference. The Side Hustle brings together live sport, great drinks, music and an electric atmosphere, creating a place where guests come together for big games, great nights and everything in between.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the venue in St Paul's/Bank, drive its performance and bring the best out of the team.

What this role actually is

You're responsible for the overall success of the business. From leading your team and maintaining high standards to driving sales, managing costs and creating an experience that keeps guests coming back.

You'll set the tone, lead from the front and make sure every part of the venue is performing at its best.

What you'll be doing

• Taking full ownership of the venue's financial and operational performance, driving sales, GP and labour targets
• Leading, motivating and developing your management team and wider team
• Setting and maintaining high standards across service, atmosphere, hospitality and guest experience
• Driving commercial performance through effective sales initiatives and a strong understanding of the numbers
• Identifying opportunities to improve the business and maximise its potential
• Managing recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing team development
• Maintaining excellent operational standards, compliance, stock control and cost management
• Working closely with the wider Nightcap team to deliver business objectives and support the continued success of the venue

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a General Manager in a busy hospitality environment
• A strong commercial mindset, with a track record of delivering sales, GP and labour targets
• A confident leader who knows how to build, motivate and develop a successful team
• Experience managing all aspects of venue operations, from service and standards to costs and compliance
• Someone who understands what makes a great guest experience and knows how to create an atmosphere people want to come back for
• Organised, hands-on and confident making decisions
• The energy, ambition and drive to keep pushing the business forward
